We would like to send a big shout-out to all the paddlers on Maui who are participating in this season’s canoe races! The season just started on January 8th, and it goes on till April 15th – with races held almost every week.
The shortest course in the season is Lulu’s Pali Race’s short course with 3.75 miles (Papalaua to Olowalu) and can be completed even by beginners – it’s not too late to register!
The longest course is the infamous Maui to Moloka’i race, with a staggering 26 nautical miles (from DT Fleming to Kaunakakai), that puts even the most experienced paddlers to the test.
The races include one and two person outrigger canoes, surfski (racing kayak), prone and stand-up paddle (SUP) boards. All levels are welcome!
BUT…if the races are not your thing and you would just like to paddle for fun and perhaps spot a few whales, dolphins and turtles… then join us for a mesmerizing Maui Canoe Tour! Our guides will help to make the day fun and stress free!
